Rope 1948 Original Publicity Photo Alfred Hitchcock, Lawrence Blockman

This is a vintage publicity photograph for Alfred Hitchcock's 1948 film Rope, starring James Stewart and John Dall, based on Patrick Hamilton's 1929 play, detailing the true story of a murder committed by Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb in 1924 New York. This was Hitchcock's first Technicolor feature and one of his most experimental films, now considered a cult classic.
