A lovely painting featuring ballet dancers in costume on a staircase. A black-masked figure in orange costume with yellow and blues diamond patch-work 'harlequin' pattern and a black cape. The Harlequin character and a man behind him, a black three-cornered hat on his head, between them carry, a pale limp closed-eyed clown in pale pink and white costume with pom-poms. A woman in a soft red ballet dress and black dance shoes, a garland of red-orange and yellow flowers around her head, descends the staircase alongside the three, her eyes downcast, her face sorrowful. 

Signed at bottom right in paint by the Artist, "Ida Feinberg". Not dated.

11 x 18 inches. Not framed.

Colors: Black, blue, orange, red-orange, yellow, blue background. 

Condition: Artwork in excellent condition. Not framed. Under protective archival sleeve immediately after removal from the original discarded glass-covered framing.
